The Sweet Spot
I had a gorgeous piece of curly maple that I had sawn out from a friend’s tree. It was in my lumber loft for twenty five years.
I finally took it out and asked myself, “What would be worthy of this beautiful piece of maple?” In terms of a table or bench base or legs, I wanted to make it asymmetrical in deference to my dyslexic nature. The result is very appealing. Shown in highly figured curly maple.
